Increase in Dearness Allowance to State Government Employees-Pensioners.
> Being the dominant player

1/ MARKET
People across India undoubtedly love Biryani. This indicates the market is huge, and the demand is everlasting. So much so that people didn't stop ordering Biryani during the pandemic.
Platforms like Zomato & Swiggy also have Biryani as one of their most-ordered food.
2/ CONSISTENCY
Biryani by kilo has set standard procedures across all its cloud kitchens & restaurants too. This helps in maintaining the quality & taste consistently. Instead, if they had used chefs to prepare Biryani, it could lead to a mismatch in its product quality.
3/ PRODUCTION
The Biryani is made to order. Hence reducing food waste and production costs. Nothing is prepared before, which would otherwise go to waste if not consumed.
4/ DELIVERY
Their cooking utensil becomes their delivery package. They deliver in the same Handi in which the Biryani was Dum cooked especially for that customer’s order. This reduces the packaging cost, reduces time friction, and gives an authentic feeling to the consumer when opening the package.
5/ COMPETITION
There is not much competition. None of the other existing biryani brands has a monopoly in the biryani business. This helped them to capture the marketplace.
6/ FINANCE
Although it has 40 restaurants in 40 cities in India, it mostly uses cloud kitchens to facilitate its business. This one financial decision has reduced the cost drastically. Opening only restaurants or getting a space in the malls could have increased their rent.
Today Biryani by Kilo built by Kaushik Roy & Vishal Jindal has more than 100 outlets in India in over 40 cities.
This brand is a dynamite in the $70bn Indian F&B industry.
With its ever-growing business of 250 to 300 Cr revenue, we can expect to see Biryani by Kilo take over the world just as the West has McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, etc.
Could this be the biggest F&B chain from India in the coming years?

Denomination Banknotes- Withdrawal from Circulation; Will continue as Legal Tender

2000 rs Denomination Banknotes- Withdrawal from Circulation; Will continue as Legal Tender
The 2000 denomination banknote was introduced in November 2016 under Section 24(1) of RBI Act, 1934, primarily to meet the currency requirement of the economy in an expeditious manner after the withdrawal of legal tender status of all 500 and 1000 banknotes in circulation at that time.
1.The objective of introducing *2000 banknotes was met once banknotes in other denominations became available in adequate quantities. Therefore, printing of 2000 banknotes was stopped in 2018- 19.
2. About 89% of the 2000 denomination banknotes were issued prior to March 2017 and are at the end of their estimated life-span of 4-5 years. The total value of these banknotes in circulation has declined from 6.73 lakh crore at its peak as on March 31, 2018 (37.3% of Notes in Circulation) to 23.62 lakh crore constituting only 10.8% of Notes in Circulation on March 31, 2023. It has also been observed that this denomination is not commonly used for transactions. Further, the stock of banknotes in other denominations continues to be adequate to meet the currency requirement of the public.
3. In view of the above, and in pursuance of the "Clean Note Policy" of the Reserve Bank of India, it has been decided to withdraw the 2000 denomination banknotes from circulation.
4. The banknotes in 2000 denomination will continue to be legal tender.
IMPORTANT LINK
5. It may be noted that RBI had undertaken a similar withdrawal of notes from circulation in 2013-2014.
6. Accordingly, members of the public may deposit ₹2000 banknotes into their bank accounts and/or exchange them into banknotes of other denominations at any bank branch. Deposit into bank accounts can be made in the usual manner, that is, without restrictions and subject to extant instructions and other applicable statutory provisions.
7. In order to ensure operational convenience and to avoid disruption of regular activities of bank branches, exchange of 2000 banknotes into banknotes of other denominations can be made upto a limit of 20,000/- at a time at any bank starting from May 23, 2023.
