Formation of Science / Maths Clubs


PAB Budget Head: 124.0.9 "Formation of Science / Maths Clubs" in schools of lower class: 6th to 8th


A grant of Rs, 2000/- per school has been given for setting up Science-Mathematics Club.


Sadar Grant will be allocated to Primary Schools having Class 6 to 8, which will have to be spent as per the guidelines given below.


The Science-Mathematics Club should consist of children interested in Mathematics-Science, a teacher of Mathematics-Science, and a maximum of 3 (three) persons interested in learning or teaching Mathematics-Science at the village level.


Regular organization of various Maths-Science related activities throughout the year by the club. Implementation of the program to be done by the math-science teacher of that school.


Preparing Maths-Science corner at school. If the school has a lab, prepare a corner in the lab itself.


Conduct bi-monthly exhibition of math-science kits and lab equipment at school level. In which to introduce all the children to the equipment, identify and do practical work.


Workshops/seminars/speeches/demonstrations can be organized to enhance the knowledge of children on topics like trading carbon print, biodiversity, climate change, renewable energy, energy, environment, solid waste disposal, organic farming.


QUIZ, competition, puzzle-game, puzzle-solving, Vedic mathematics, practical science, science in the world, project work, innovation stall, etc. program every fortnight from time to time by Maths-Science teacher to increase the interest of children in Maths-Science subject. Can be planned.


To conduct programs for eradicating superstition at school level. To organize the participation of SMC members, parents in these programs.


Sadar Grant is to be spent only for the purpose of carrying out educational activities in Mathematics and Science.


To prepare an activity book on the preparation of information with photos of the scientist detailing the activities-approach-research-project-discovery of specific persons/scientists/mathematicians under the subject of Mathematics. Project work and its file preparation.


T.A.-D.A., food, refreshments and the purchase of items not necessary for the educational activity of Maths-Science cannot be incurred from the grant.


The school principal and maths teacher should jointly organize the activities of the club for smooth implementation.


A detailed report of the activities and lab visits to be prepared during the year.
