(1) Good news for investors If you are a retail investor and pay through UPI to invest in a company's IPO, you can now submit bids up to Rs. 5 lakhs as per the new rules of SEBI. At present this limit is up to Rs. 2 lakhs. This new limit will be valid for all IPOs coming after May 1.

The guidelines issued by the central bank will come into effect from July 1, 2022. In addition, if the request to close the card is not processed within a week, the card issuer will pay a penalty of Rs.500 per day to the customer.
