(1) Good news for investors If you are a retail investor and pay through UPI to invest in a company's IPO, you can now submit bids up to Rs. 5 lakhs as per the new rules of SEBI. At present this limit is up to Rs. 2 lakhs. This new limit will be valid for all IPOs coming after May 1.




(2) For Post Office Account Holders: Post Office Account Holders will also be able to make quick payments through Google Pay. After this, pensioners and MNREGA workers will benefit the most. The Postal Department is going to make this service available to customers across the country from May 2.




From May 2, post office account holders will start getting e-banking facility. The post office network may also be disrupted while updating the system.

In the new guidelines, the RBI said action would be taken against the company for issuing cards without the customer's approval. The guidelines issued by the central bank will come into effect from July 1, 2022. In addition, if the request to close the card is not processed within a week, the card issuer will pay a penalty of Rs.500 per day to the customer.
