- પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા
રાજયની તમામ સરકારી શાળાઓના ધોરણ-૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે ઓફલાઈન/ ઓનલાઈન મોડથી 'પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા'નું આયોજન.
♦ દરેક સ્તરની સ્પર્ધામાં બાળકો તેઓની રજૂઆત મૌલિક રીતે અથવા તેમણે કાગળમાં લખેલુ વાંચીને પણ કરી શકે છે.
• રજૂઆતનો સમય : બાળક દીઠ મહત્તમ ૧૦ મિનિટ
જે-તે ધોરણ(૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧)ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ધ્વારા 'પુસ્તક વાચન' અને 'પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા':

સૌ પ્રથમ જે-તે ધોરણના વર્ગ(કલાસ)માં અભ્યાસ કરતા તમામ બાળકો પાસે વર્ગશિક્ષકે પુસ્તક સમીક્ષા કરાવવી,
* બાળકોની રજૂઆતને આધારે પ્રથમ, બીજા અને ત્રીજા ક્રમના વિજેતા નકકી કરવા

• કલસ્ટર કક્ષાની સ્પર્ધામાં ધોરણવાર(ધો.૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧) એક(૧) વિજેતા આ રીતે ઓછામાં ઓછા ૩ અને મહત્તમ પ વિજેતા બનશે
• વિજેતા નકકી કરવા ૩ નિયિકોની સમિતિ

- 'પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધામાં શાળા કક્ષાથી લઈ રાજય કક્ષા સુધી વિજેતા થનાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પ્રોત્સાહક ઈનામ તરીકે વિજેતાદીઠ ક્રમશઃ રૂ.૧૦૦(શાળા કક્ષા), રૂ.૨૦૦(કલસ્ટર કક્ષા), રૂ.૩૦૦(બ્લોક કક્ષા), રૂ.૪૦૦(જિલ્લા કક્ષા) અને રૂ.૫૦૦(રાજય કક્ષા)ની જોગવાઈ.
- દરેક સ્તરે વિજેતા બનેલ વિદ્યાર્થીઓની યુનિક આઈ.ડી. સાથેની પ્રમાણભૂત માહિતી જે-તે સ્તરના જવાબદાર અધિકારીશ્રી/કર્મચારીશ્રીના સહી-સિકકા સાથે સ્પર્ધા પૂર્ણ થયાના બે(૨) દિવસમાં જેતે સ્તરના ઉપલા સ્તરે એકત્રિત કરી દરેક જિલ્લા/કોર્પોરેશને એકંદર માહિતી અત્રેની કચેરીને મોકલી આપવાની રહેશે.
- વિજેતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પ્રોત્સાહક ઈનામની રકમમાંથી ઓનલાઈન બુકફેરમાંથી તેઓની પસંદગીના પુસ્તકો પસંદ કરી વસાવી શકો. - 'ઓનલાઈન બુકફેર' અંગે અલગથી વિગતવાર જાણ કરવામાં આવશે.

અધ્યયન નિષ્પત્તિઓમાં સુધારો લાવવામાં વાંચનનું યોગદાન વિવિધ સંશોધનોમાં દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. વાંચન એ ભાષા અને લેખન કૌશલ્યોને સક્ષમ બનાવવા તરફનું એક પગલું છે. તે શબ્દભંડોળ, સર્જનાત્મકતા, વિવેચનાત્મક વિચારસરણી, કલ્પના અને અભિવ્યક્તિમાં વધારો કરે છે, બાળકોને તેમની આસપાસના અને વાસ્તવિક જીવનની પરિસ્થિતિઓ સાથે સંબંધ બાંધવામાં મદદ કરે છે. જો કે તેને સતત અભ્યાસ, વિકાસ અને શુદ્ધીકરણની જરૂર છે. આમ, એક સક્ષમ વાતાવરણ બનાવવાની જરૂર છે, જેમાં, વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આનંદ માટે વાંચે અને આનંદપ્રદ અને ટકાઉ પ્રક્રીયા ધ્વારા તેમની કુશળતા વિકસાવે.
શિક્ષા મંત્રાલય–ભારત સરકાર પ્રકાશિત પુસ્તકાલય માર્ગદર્શિકા વર્તમાન અને નવા પુસ્તકાલય સંસાધનોનો ઉપયોગ કરવા માટે વિવિધ પ્રવૃત્તિઓ સૂચવે છે. પારસ્પરીક રમતો, વાર્તા કથન અને વાર્તા લેખન દ્વારા બાળકો ભાષાઓની દુનિયામાં પ્રવેશ કરે છે, જે તેમને તેમની પોતાની ભાષાની ક્ષમતાઓથી વાકેફ કરે છે અને તેમને તેમના વારસા વિશે અને તેમની આસપાસના લોકો વિશે વધુ જાણવા માટે પ્રોત્સાહીત કરે છે. પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા'(વાંચન-અધ્યયન ઉત્સવ) વિદ્યાર્થીઓ, શિક્ષકો અને સમુદાયમાં વાંચન સંસ્કૃતિને પ્રોત્સાહન આપશે. તેઓ તેમની કલ્પના અને અનુભવના આધારે કવિતાઓ, ટૂંકી વાર્તાઓ અને લોકવાર્તાઓ જેવા સર્જનાત્મક લેખનનો અનુભવ કરશે.
'એક ભારત શ્રેષ્ઠ ભારત'ની ભાવનાને મજબૂત કરવામાં 'પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા'(વાંચન-અધ્યયન ઉત્સવ) સહયોગી બનશે. આ વાંચન અભિયાનના મુખ્ય સંસાધનો બાળકો પોતે છે, જેઓ નવી ભાષાઓ શીખવામાં પારંગત છે અને ઉચ્ચારો અને બોલીઓની જીણવટ પ્રત્યે ખૂબ જ સંવેદનશીલ છે.
બાળકોને ફકત વાંચતા શીખવવું પૂરતું નથી, તેમને વાંચવા માટે યોગ્ય તેવું કંઈક(વાતાવરણ) આપવું જોઈએ. કંઈક, કે જે તેમની કલ્પનાઓને વિસ્તારશે, કંઈક, કે જે તેમને તેમના પોતાના જીવનને સમજવામાં મદદ કરશે અને તેઓને એવા લોકો સુધી પહોંચવા માટે પ્રોત્સાહીત કરશે જેમના જીવન તેમના પોતાના કરતા તદ્દન અલગ છે. આ વિચારને મજબૂત કરવા માટે રાજયના ધોરણ ૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે 'વાંચન-અધ્યયન ઉત્સવ‘ અંતર્ગત ‘પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા યોજવા શિક્ષા મંત્રાલય-ભારત સરકારની મંજુરી મળેલ છે.
ઉપરોકત બાબતોને ધ્યાને લઈ રાજયની તમામ સરકારી શાળાઓના ધોરણ-૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે જેતે ધોરણના વર્ગથી રાજય કક્ષા સુધી ઓફલાઈન/ઓનલાઈન 'પુસ્તક વાચક સ્પર્ધા' યોજવા, તેમજ સ્પર્ધાના ભાગરૂપે આ શાળાઓના દર્શાવેલ ધોરણના વર્ગમાં તા.૦૭/૨/૨૦૨૨ થી તા.૧૧/૨/૨૦૨૨ દરમિયાન ઓફલાઈન/ઓનલાઈન ‘પુસ્તક વાચન' યોજવા જણાવવામાં આવે છે.
આપના તાબા હેઠળની ઉપરોકત દર્શાવ્યા મુજબની તમામ સરકારી શાળાઓના ધોરણ-૬, ૭, ૮, ૯ અને ૧૧માં 'પુસ્તક વાંચક સ્પર્ધા' આ સાથે સામેલ માર્ગદર્શિકા અનુસાર જૈ–તે કક્ષાએ નિર્ધારીત કરેલ સમયગાળામાં પ્રવર્તમાન મહામારી અંગે સરકારશ્રી દ્વારા વખતોવખત આપવામાં આવેલ એસ.ઓ.પી.ને ચૂસ્તપણે અનુસરીને ઓફલાઈન/ઓનલાઈન મોડથી યોજાય તે માટે સબંધિત તમામને આપની એચી જરૂરી સુચનાઓ આપવા, તેમજ સ્પર્ધાનું દરેક તબકકે અસરકારક અમલીકરણ કરવા જણાવવામાં આવે છે.

તમામ In all the districts of the state, in the district level competition, for all the children who have won Std-9, 8, 9, 8 and 11 Std. The committee of judges is requested to consider the following matters related to the planning of 'Book Reader Competition' as mentioned above.
- 'Rs.100 (school level), Rs.200 (cluster level), Rs.200 (block level), Rs.200 (district level) respectively as an incentive prize to the winners of the book reading competition from school level to state level. And provision of Rs.500 (state level).
- Unique IDs of the winning students at each level. The standard information along with the signature of the responsible officer / employee of that level should be collected at the upper level of the level within two (2) days after the completion of the competition and the overall information should be sent to each district / corporation office here.
- The winning students can choose their favorite books from the online bookfair from the incentive prize money. - 'Online bookfare' will be reported in detail separately.

The contribution of reading in improving study outcomes has been demonstrated in various researches. Reading is a step towards enabling language and writing skills. It enhances vocabulary, creativity, critical thinking, imagination and expression, helping children build relationships with those around them and real life situations. However it needs constant study, development and refinement. Thus, there is a need to create a competent environment in which, students read for fun and develop their skills through an enjoyable and sustainable process.
Ministry of Education - Government of India Library Guide publishes various activities to utilize existing and new library resources. Through interactive games, storytelling and story writing, children enter the world of languages, which makes them aware of their own language abilities and encourages them to learn more about their heritage and those around them. The Book Reader Competition (Reading-Study Festival) will promote reading culture among students, teachers and the community. They will experience creative writing like poems, short stories and folktales based on their imagination and experience.
The 'Book Reader Competition' (Reading-Study Festival) will be instrumental in strengthening the spirit of 'One India, Best India'. The main resources of this reading campaign are the children themselves, who specialize in learning new languages and are very sensitive to the complexity of pronunciation and dialects.
It is not enough to just teach children to read, they should be given something (environment) suitable for reading. Something that would expand their imagination, something that would help them understand their own lives and encourage them to reach out to people whose lives are totally different from their own. To strengthen this idea, the Ministry of Education has got approval from the Government of India to organize a book reading competition for students of Std. 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 in the state under 'Reading-Study Festival'.
In view of the above matters, to organize offline / online 'Book Reading Competition' for the students of Std-6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 of all government schools of the state from Jet standard class to state level, as well as in the standard class specified by these schools as part of the competition. It is advised to conduct offline / online 'Book Reading' from / 208 to 11/6/207.
SOPs issued by the Government from time to time regarding the prevailing epidemic in the period prescribed by the Jai-Te level as per the guidelines attached to the 'Book Reading Competition' in Std-9, 8, 9, 9 and 11 of all government schools under your jurisdiction as mentioned above.
