Drink and drive - 6 months jail / 10 thousand fine in the first and 2 years jail / 15 thousand fine in the second
Racing and Speeding - 1 month jail / 500 fine for first time, 1 month jail for second time / 10 thousand fine
Driving without insurance - First time Rs 2,000 fine / 3 months jail, Second time Rs 4,000 fine / 3 months jail
For not giving way to the Emergency Services train - a fine of Rs. 10,000 / jail term up to 6 months from now or both.
Accident-linked errors - 6 months in jail / 5000 fine for first time, 1 year jail / 10 thousand fine for second time
Upon Minor's vehicle operation - a fine of 25,000 from now on, plus a 3-year prison sentence, vehicle registration can also be canceled for up to one year. No driving license will be granted 25 years ago.

Overloading on two wheelers - first Rs 100 and now fine of Rs 2000 / license suspension for 3 months
On not having a belt - first Rs 100 and now Rs 1000
To talk on the phone while driving - First Rs 1000 and now Rs 5000 fine
Over speed - Rs. 400 before, Rs. 1-2 thousand on ordinary cars and Rs. 2-4 thousand on commercial vehicles and on other occasions the license is confiscated.
