Students will be given 247 days of study in the new academic session beginning June 11 in the state. The Board of Education has announced an academic calendar for the new academic year. Accordingly, 116 days will be studied in the first semester and 131 days in the second semester. Examination of Class 10 and Level 12 examinations of Education Board to be taken in March-2019 will be started from March 7. Whereas the annual exams for Std. 9 and Std. 11 will be started from April 8. Students will receive 80 days leave throughout the year. There will be 56 vacations for two vacations. The 21-day Diwali Vacation will start from November 5 at the end of the first session. The new session will begin on June 11, 2018. The first session will be 116 days and will run until November 4, 2018. Then there will be 21 days Diwali Vacation from November 5 to November 25. After the completion of Diwali Vacation, the second educational session of 131 days will begin on November 26, 2018 and will continue till May 5, 2019. The 35-day summer vacation will start from May 6, 2019 and will continue until June 9, 2019. The next academic year will begin on June 10, 2019.

It has been suggested that not one holiday should be increased from 80 holidays during the year. Of the 80 holidays, 21 get Diwali vacation and 35 for summer vacation. Besides, 73 of the 17 public holidays are going on. Plus 7 holidays will be casual - local. Thus, the maximum leave of 80 days will be during the year. Std. 10, Std.12 General Stream and Science Exams will start from March 7, 2019 and will be completed on March 23. Also, the annual examinations of Std.19 and Std11 will be completed on April 16, 2019, starting from April 8, 2019. Currently, the supplementary examinations of Dh10 and Std12 to be taken in July, 2018 are planned to start on July 6 and complete on July 9. 247 days of study will be conducted throughout the year. The first semester will be 17 days in June, 26 days in July, 24 days in August, 22 days in September, 24 days in October and 3 days in November. The second semester will be 5 days in November, 25 days in December, 25 days in January, 24 days in February, 24 days in March, 24 days in April and 4 days in May.
