Under the Samarthya Sansthan Project under the Samarthya Sansthan Project, 14 government university affiliated educational institutes/colleges in civil engineering, commerce, science, education, law and other disciplines, post graduate, post graduate and Ph.D. Gujarat Common Admission Services Portal - GCAS (GCAS) has been created for the admission of students in level courses.




From the circular (2) read by the Education Department, the necessary instructions regarding the admission process have been circulated according to the stage of operation to be done on this portal. Pursuant to which, all the 14-government universities of the state of Gujarat feel the need for technical and administrative integration of the registration process for admission to graduate courses with the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal. The admission process for various degree courses and courses in the University and affiliated colleges shall be done by the University as per the following schedule.

All the aspiring students have to register on the GKS portal for admission with the basic information (profile) of themselves in the course of choice in that college.

Starting from 1-4-2024 after completion of Gujarat Board (GSHSEB) Class 12 Examination

You have to apply online by giving the choice you want to study.




All the passed admission students should check the academic information on GKS portal for admission. Full online fee (Payment) has to be paid. Also the application has to be submitted final.




According to the list of help centers posted on the portal, the applicable students have to go to the help center of the nearest college and get their original documents verified.




After the verification of documents, any universities will admit the registered students to U. G. Universities which have to take admission in the courses through entrance test (entrance test) should conduct the entrance test and provisional merit in one week. All other universities have to complete the list making process within this period

To be completed within two weeks of declaration of Gujarat Board (GSHSEB) Class 12 result




Completion within three weeks of declaration of Gujarat Board (GSHSEB) Class 12 result including the period mentioned in No.-2 above.

Gujarat Board (GSHSEB) Class 12 Result 5 All the universities have to announce the Provisional Merit List together within three weeks.






If there is any grievance regarding the Provisional Merit List to the students, the same shall be sent to the College within the day after the Provisional Merit List is announced.

Section 24 of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education for Children Act, 2009 has been amended in the notification of read-1. As per the above amendment H, I, J, K and L have been added after sub-clause-G of Article-24. which is included with this. According to this amendment, only the students who get A, B, C or D grade in each subject in class 5 and class 8 will be promoted to the next class. A student cannot be stopped in another standard.


Thus, from the year 2019-20, a student who obtains E grade in two or more subjects (i.e. below 35%) in Class 5 or Class 8 cannot be promoted from that class. But after doing remedial teaching work within two months of declaration of examination result, the school level has to conduct re-examination in which the student has to be promoted if he/she can improve his/her grade as expected. No student can be held back in any standard other than standard 5th and standard 8th. "

1. (1) These rules may be called the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2019.


(2) They shall extend to whole of the State of Gujarat.


(3) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. ;


2. In the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2012, in Rule 24, after clause (g), the following clauses shall be added, namely: -


"(h) There shall be an annual examination in the fifth class and in the eighth class at the end of every academic year, which shall be conducted as a part of other examinations being conducted in the school during the academic year.


(i) If a child fails in the annual examination referred to in clause (h), he shall be given additional instructions and granted opportunity for re-examination within a period of two months from the date of declaration of the result of such annual examination.


(1) If a child fails in the re-examination as specified in clause


(i), the school has to detain that child in fifth class or eighth class as the case may be. If the child such detained seeks admission in another school, he should be enrolled in the same standard in which he has been detained earlier, irrespective of his age.


(k) Any child who is enrolled in primary school, shall not be held back until he completes the hacir elementary


(1) No child admitted in a primary school shall be expelled from such school until he completes elementary education."
